Second phase in the CISA Project Ethno-botanical Survey
Zoom

Within the scope of the second phase of the ethno-botanical survey, carried out in partnership with the Botany Centre of the Faculty of Science at UAN, the Agostinho Neto University, the CISA Project launched its collection of plants utilised for medicinal purposes in Mabubas and Úcua alongside their respective identification and classification by the Botany Centre Herbaria. Should plants be identified with pharmacologic potential, further studies shall be undertaken to characterise the physiochemical properties of the extracts and test their bioactivity levels.
The study counts upon the participation of a UAN Biology final year student who completes their degree internship under the auspices of the project.
