CISA is to participate in the Southern Africa Malaria Elimination Eight and seeking to eradicate malaria by 2030.

CISA is taking responsibility for carrying out both a prevalence study and an entomological survey, with the latter in partnership with CISM – Health Research Centre of Manhiça – Mozambique and spanning the three southern Angolan provinces bordering Namibia: Namibe, Cunene and Cuando Cubango.

Known as Elimination 8, this project involves eight different countries: Angola, Botswana, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Swaziland, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
