The study of the causal factors of diarrhoeal diseases remains ongoing following its launch in September 2012. At the world level, diarrhoeal diseases represent the second biggest causes of death in children under the age of five and remain highly prevalent in developing countries. In partnership with Bengo General Hospital, located in Caxito, this study has been identifying the pathogenic factors causing diarrhoea found in the faeces of children aged under five. Through ascertaining just which are the causal factors by laboratory analysis, this enables the therapeutic measures applied in this clinical context to target the direct causes.
