On October 13th, CISA staged its first ever Education for Health session on the prevention of schistosomiasis and intestinal parasitoses.

This session, targeting members of the Cabungo neighbourhood community, involved the showing of a film about the problems posed by these diseases and featuring young, local actors using the kind of language in effect in the context of neighbourhoods falling within the scope of the CISA study project and highlighting the importance of healthcare related issues and the most appropriate attitudes and behaviours regarding the consumption of water.

We now intend to roll-out this initiative and show the film at schools and other action or program events aiming to prevent the spread of Schistosomiasis and Intestinal Parasitoses.
