CISA has now published another article in the “International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health”.

The lead authors is the CISA researcher Cláudia Fançony with the article’s objective seeking to convey the impact of implementing the study protocol for the clinical trial testing the effectiveness of community educational interventions within the goal of reducing anemia in pre-school age children in Bengo Province.

This involves the gathering of socioeconomic, nutritional, anthropometric, parasitic and bio-chemical information on children aged under four and both resident in the CISA study area and willing to participate. Taking into account the multifactorial causes, determining the effectiveness of both interventions holds particular importance to the objective of documenting weaknesses and strengths for planning anemia reduction strategies.
