Carolina Gasparinho successfully defended her doctoral degree thesis at the IHMT (Institute of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine), Nova University of Lisbon. She is the first Angolan researcher to receive her doctoral degree following research undertaken at CISA.

Carolina Gasparinho was unanimously approved and received an honourable distinction. The title of her thesis is:“Malnutrition and enteric infections in children in Bengo province, Angola: a four-arm experimental study”
