Throughout January 2014, CISA hosted the researcher Antonio Mendes, from the Institute of Molecular Medicine, at Lisbon University's Faculty of Medicine.

The 9th International Congress of Doctors of Angola took place in Luanda on January 24th and 25th 2014 and attracted the participation of around 900 healthcare professionals.

27th January saw the launch of the "Study of filariasis in Bengo province" project. This seeks to survey the prevalence of loiasis, onchocerciasis, lymphatic filariasis and Guinea worm in Bengo.

The 8th Round of demographic updating, which began on 24th July 2013, came to a close on 20th December 2013. In the meanwhile, the data collected is undergoing digitalisation.

On 13th December 2013, CISA carried out the ”Introduction to Statistics” training program involving the participation of 32 trainees.

Between 9th and 12th December 2013, in partnership with the Agostinho Neto University, CISA organised a training program on "Demography in Health Research".

On October 13th, CISA staged its first ever Education for Health session on the prevention of schistosomiasis and intestinal parasitoses.

CISA ran a Seminar in Parasitology at the Bengo Training School for Healthcare Technicians in Caxito on 4th and 5th November 2013.

The 12th INDEPTH Scientific Conference took place in South Africa between 28th and 31st October.

CISA was among the participants at the 4th Sciences Meeting at the Faculty of Medicine of the Katyavala Bwila University in Benguela between 15th and 18th October 2013.
