The CISA Project was in attendance at the 4th Portuguese Demography Congress, which took place at the University of Évora on the 12th and 13th September 2012.

On 14th August, CISA held the presentation of its next research project "The study of the causal factors in cases of diarrhoea in children aged under five undergoing treatment at Bengo Hospital".

The CISA Project is looking for a senior researcher, capable of undertaking epidemiological and clinical research.

After a week of training and general preparation, the 6th round of the DSS – the Demographic Surveillance System - took to the field on 9th July.

CISA took its place at the first ever Expo-Lwini, International Healthcare, Wellbeing and Technical Assistance Exhibition for handicapped persons, in Angola.

Taking place in July 2012 is the 6th round of updating the Demographic Surveillance System rendering continuity to the ongoing registration of demographic events occurring within the CISA Project.

The journal PLoS ONE has now published an article written by Lusophone researchers working under the auspices of the CISA Project.

The CISA project has now been distinguished with Angola's Best Practices Award of Recognition, in the International Partners category.
